MONTREAL, February 22, 2015 – Startup Canada (www.startupcan.ca) and the Coalition of the Youth Chamber of Commerce in Quebec (Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec), announced a strategic partnership today aiming to contribute to, promote, and advance entrepreneurship in Quebec.
Monsef Derraji, the CEO of the coalition, says he is “proud to enter this partnership with Startup Canada. Our strategy aligns perfectly with Startup Canada’s mission to foster a community for startup and small business success. Two of the coalition’s objectives include promoting an entrepreneurial ecosystem and showcasing Quebec’s expertise to other provinces in the upcoming years. We will ensure that all of Quebec benefits from this partnership.”
Startup Canada and the Coalition of the Youth Chamber of Commerce in Quebec and are joining efforts to achieve the following strategic priorities:
- Promote and encourage initiatives to increase entrepreneurship across the Province of Quebec;
- Promote and encourage the development of Startup Communities in major cities across Quebec;
- Recommend public policies to foster startup and innovation ecosystems; and,
- Promote startups outside the Province of Quebec.
